At Greenwood Hackney Nursery School, learning is centred around creativity, exploration, and emotional wellbeing. A creative curriculum built around exploration
At Greenwood Hackney Nursery School, the curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning through a unique project-based approach centred around Planet Earth. Children explore engaging topics such as continents, oceans, jungles, space, and the environment while developing key skills across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Learning is carefully planned to combine social, emotional, physical, and academic development through play, interactive activities, and real-world experiences, helping every child build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for learning.
Healthy nutrition to support growing minds
At Greenwood Hackney Nursery School, nutrition is an important part of daily learning and wellbeing. Children are provided with five balanced meals each day, all freshly prepared on-site using organic produce and free-range ingredients sourced from local suppliers. The nursery follows the Eat Better Start Better guidelines, encouraging healthy eating habits, independence, and variety at mealtimes. Children are also involved in food preparation activities throughout the week, helping them build confidence, understand nutrition, and develop a positive relationship with healthy food from an early age. The nursery is open from 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We are closed for one week at Christmas time and closed at weekends and all Bank Holidays.
We have a three-tiered pricing system depending on the age of your child. This is due the to higher staff ratios needed for younger children, the space needed per child as well as the additional supplies needed for their care including nappies and washing materials. Our minimum attendance is 2 days a week.
We offer a 15% sibling discount when you have more than one child with us at a time.
We also offer a package for all parents who are teachers. This package consists of a 10% discount and a break in fees over the month of August
Our fees increase every September in line with inflation. Any fee increases are published on the website 1 month before implementation.
